I heard something interesting yesterday.

“God doesn’t send people to hell, he sends sin to hell.
God loves people, thus He gave us a choice to rid of our sin through Jesus.
But some people won’t let their sin go.
Won’t let their pride go.
Won’t let their selfishness, worldly lives go.
And so they must go with it, because God cannot look with favor at sin.”

Imagine, a Being with a mind as great as God’s, with feet like trees and a voice like rushing wind telling you that you are His cherished creation.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I asked for love, I asked for mercy, I asked for patience, but You’re already all of these things.

A Prayer

Lord, as we go on with our daily routines, I pray that we can keep our eyes on You. I pray that we will trust in You with our lives, Lord, that we understand how important we are. May we walk the path of light, no matter how easy the others look, no matter how hard it gets.

His Reckless Love

If you havn’t read Parable of the Prodigal Son (“Parable of the Lost Son”) go to Luke 15:11-32. I’m not going to summarize, because I think you should read it.

Read it? Awesome.

Culturally, this parable introduced a completely new concept. At the time it would be unfitting for a nobleman to run towards anyone, let alone a son who had abandoned him. The parable is presenting how our Father runs towards us, embracing the dirty and foolish and unworthy—loving them.

So what if this story had been different? What if instead of being bitter about the celebration of the returning of his brother, the older son dropped what he was doing and ran down the path with his father to greet his brother? That is the kind of Christians we need to be. Instead of viewing ourselves as more worthy than others and putting ourselves on a high horse, we should be running recklessly down the road alongside our Father to take in our brothers & sisters.

His reckless love, the love that runs down the road for an unworthy son, is amazing.

We will never be the Same.

“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2

Our hearts are constantly changed, but are we changing for the better? Are we changing for a higher goal?

I feel like everyday, God changes our hearts.

We will never be the same, because we have Christ flowing in our veins, thumping in our hearts, screaming from our lips.

As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, O God.
My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?

My tears have been my food
day and night,
while men say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”

These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go with the multitude,
leading the procession to the house of God,
with shouts of joy and thanksgiving
among the festive throng.

Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
My soul is downcast within me;
therefore I will remember you
from the land of the Jordan,
the heights of Hermon—from Mount Mizar.

Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me.

By day the LORD directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life.

— Psalm 42:1-8

I will dance, I will sing, to be mad for my King
nothing Lord is hindering this passion in my soul

I’ll become even more undignified than this, some may say it’s foolishness
